Frequently asked questions

Can I bring my dog to the museum?

If your dog is small enough for you to carry it throughout your visit, you are welcome to bring it to the museum.

Larger dogs are not allowed.

Assistance dogs are of course always welcome in the museum.

Do I have to book ahead?

We do not require advance booking but we are very happy to be given advance notification if you are planning a visit with a school class or large group.

Is there wheelchair access?

It is possible to park directly in front of our entrance and the door is wide enough for all wheelchairs to enter using our ramp.

Unfortunately, we do not have a lift, so wheelchair users only have the opportunity to see the ground floor.

Is there a locked wardrobe?

The Old Town Hall is actually like one large museum object, so our audience facilities are limited.

That’s why we unfortunately don’t have a wardrobe either.

Can I eat my packed lunch at the museum?

Ordinary visitors are unfortunately not allowed to bring food.

Where can I park?

Ribe’s narrow streets are not suitable for traffic and parking is limited. Use the large car park at the edge of the town centre and walk the few hundred metres to the museum through Ribe’s charming streets.
